Some of you super online folks are probably aware, but a deranged shitshow of vile incel violence erupted on Twitter in the last two days in response to this delightful post of a woman successfully defending her dissertation. I’m not linking to it, but you can find it if you look. Words cannot describe what levels of misogynist evil hurled at her. Nor can they describe the poise with with Dr. Louks has handled the entire situation.

I discourage you from looking at the actual replies because there is no good there beyond Dr. Louk’s sly responses. Except those of us who need to track this kind of thing should probably keep some kind of finger on the pulse of this sort of unhinged collective spasm of hatred directed toward academic achievement (in women).
