In this short-term service, I will examine and evaluate your CV for any gaps, weaknesses or red flags, and help you create a plan to remedy them in time for the 2025-2026 academic job market. Covers two email exchanges.
I will ALSO tell you if I think you should launch a partial or complete focus on leaving academia and seeking non-academic work. While we can’t cover in-depth post-ac advising in this format, it can serve as a jumping off point for you.
I am not an oracle, but I’ve been looking at academic CVs for almost 30 years, and have been coaching on leaving academia for almost 15. I promise to do my best to give you perspective on your options and information to weigh your cost/benefit ratio in terms of time and effort over the next six months.
