Spring 3-Document Special Is Back!

The TPII Academic Job Application 3-Document Spring Package is our deepest reduction in editing prices (20%)  of the year, and offered only short-term during Spring!

Doing your docs now gets them good and ready well before the Fall 2023 Job Market. And avoids the crush and/or disappointment of no availability or a rush fee come Fall.

This package includes edits for any three of the following: your Cover Letter, CV, and Teaching Statement or Research Statement. You will submit only one at a time, beginning with your cover letter! The instructions for submission are laid out in great detail in the document to which you were redirected upon purchase.

FINE PRINT:  before editing can begin, you must set a start date on the calendar. After purchase you must  email Dr. Karen at gettenure@gmail.com.  Note: your actual editing start date may fall after May, depending on our calendar.

CV Advance Strategizing Session

March-June Only

$200

Between the pandemic and censorship and continued hiring contraction, we are in the era of  “I don’t know.”  It is hard to know where you stand vis-a-vis academic hiring, how to identify and fill gaps in your CV, and decide if and when to move on from academia and seek non-academic work.

In this short-term service, I will examine and evaluate your CV for any gaps, weaknesses or red flags, and help you create a plan to remedy them in time for the 2023-2024 academic job market.  Covers two email exchanges.

I will ALSO tell you if I think you should launch a partial or complete focus on leaving academia and seeking non-academic work. While we can’t cover in-depth post-ac advising in this format, it can serve as a jumping off point for you.

I am not an oracle, but I’ve been looking at academic CVs for almost 30 years, and have been coaching on leaving academia for almost 15. I promise to do my best to give you perspective on your options and information to weigh your cost/benefit ratio in terms of time and effort over the next six months.

**Please note that after you purchase this service you must email me, Karen, at gettenure@gmail.com to set a date on the calendar for the work to begin. I also require that you read Part I of my book prior to our work, so we have a shared foundation about the conditions of the academic job market.
