First of all, if you are reading this, I am very sorry to hear about your tenure denial. There is nothing more devastating in the academic career.

As a former department head, and tenure committee chair (and as someone who went through tenure twice themselves, at two different institutions), I can help you interpret the denial, diagnose the cause(s) and strategize a response, as well as craft your tenure denial appeal if you decide to pursue that route. I typically start with a review of your tenure statements and CV, any departmental communications, followed by a one-on-one zoom meeting to discuss options.

I can provide perspective from many years of watching and consulting on countless tenure cases, can give an unbiased view of your record and the (il)legitimacy of the decision, identify places where you didn’t properly reflect your record or advocate for yourself, and help you draft effective communications (both emails and appeals) to seek redress.

The first hour is invoiced at the tenure doc rate of $250, and the one-on-one consult is $400 for a total of $650.

From that point, we can decide whether or not to move on with further consultations or document drafting.
